Hi, thanks for your quick response. It's really reassuring to hear that your garage was able to fix it. Can you still remember what you paid for the repair back then? And most importantly, have you had any problems with the sensor or anything else since then? I look forward to your answer!

Hey, sure, I still remember it well. So after I took the car to the garage, they fixed the AUC sensor without any problems. It cost me €90, the sensor itself was the culprit. And since then everything has been running smoothly again, no more stress with the sensor or anything like that. So don't worry, they'll sort it out!

Hey, that's good news. 90 euros doesn't sound like a fortune either. That really reassures me. I'll definitely keep it in mind in case I think about trying to fix it myself again. I hope it goes as well for me as it did for you! Thanks again for the quick and helpful reply. You've taken away my fear of the garage and given me a bit of optimism!

Hi, I have a Renault Megane (petrol engine, 2004 model, around 60,000 km on the clock) and recently had problems with the sensor. It was the same fault as you suspect - a faulty AUC sensor. The symptoms were quite similar to yours, heating and air conditioning were completely inefficient. The good news is that my garage was able to sort it without too much trouble. They said it's not a very serious problem, but it should still be fixed promptly. A working sensor is pretty important to the overall performance of the car. So, hope this helps you out. Good luck!
