Avantime Door Lock Issue

Had a similar issue in my old Saab 9-3. Is the car alarm acting up, or just the locks? Have you checked the door wiring harness where it passes from the body to the door? That's a common spot for breaks.

No alarm issues, just the locks. Never got around to fixing it myself. Took it to a workshop, and they sorted it. Considering the symptoms, I would recommend you do the same.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – faulty door contact signal, traced to a defective cable/plug connection. 95€ later, and she's working again.
