Avantime MOST bus fault

My 2003 Renault Avantime (gasoline engine) is showing a MOST bus fault. Symptoms include no audio output, a non-functional audio system and navigation, plus an error stored in the memory. Mileage is 96028 km. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something like that with my Avantime. All the audio stuff just died. Was a real pain. Did you check the connections?

Connections to what specifically? I suspect a defect in one of the control units installed in the MOST bus. I checked the fuse of the audio system.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The control units... I couldn't figure it out myself. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it, but it wasn't cheap.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. I'll get it checked. The diagnostic confirms the MOST bus issue and I'm expecting around 1000€ for the repair.
