The error code does point to the temperature sensor heat exchanger being defective, yes. The mechanic also suspects a defective air conditioning control unit might be the cause. Could it be a sensor calibration issue, or did you have the same error codes and the same air conditioning symptoms?

Yeah, the symptoms sound spot on with what I experienced. Same error codes, same air con problem. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They diagnosed it pretty quickly. Saved me a lot of headache. Could be the AC control unit as the mechanic said.

Thanks for the confirmation. I appreciate the insight. Looks like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. Got a quote for around 980€, so I'll bite the bullet. Hopefully, it'll sort it out for good.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Avensis. The air con not working is a real pain, isn't it? Was the error message specifically pointing to the temperature sensor or something more general? Maybe a sensor malfunction? Engine cooling issues can be tricky.
