Avensis Airbag Warning Light

Hi, I have a 2017 Toyota Avensis diesel. The airbag warning lamp lights up in the speedometer. I've checked the error codes and it indicates a defective cable or plug connection within the airbag system. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I've seen that before. Given the age, it could be a sensor issue or a problem with the wiring harness. Has the car been in any minor accidents or had any work done recently that might have disturbed the airbag system?

No accidents, and no recent work that I know of. Where exactly should I be looking for these cable and plug connections? Is there a common point of failure?

Without knowing the exact error code, it's tough to pinpoint. The connections under the seats are a common culprit, as is the clock spring in the steering wheel. It's best to get it properly diagnosed; a faulty airbag system is a car safety issue.

Thanks. I took it to a local workshop. They confirmed it was a loose connection and fixed it. The repair cost 95€. Appreciate the input!
