Hi, I have a 2009 Toyota Avensis diesel. The parking aid isn't working. Symptoms are 'Parking assistant without function' and an error stored in the memory. Could this be a defective cable or plug connection?

Where are the radar sensors located? Also, do you remember what the error code was when you experienced this?

The sensors are usually in the rear bumper. Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact error code. Given your error and the symptoms, it's best to have a workshop inspect the wiring. It could be a simple fix, like a loose connection, but it's better to be sure.
