It's more of a spongy feel. Brake fluid level seems fine. I haven't inspected the calipers recently. Is it likely to be voltage issues?

Spongy feel points to air in the system or possibly a failing master cylinder. Given the age, corrosion could be impacting the calipers. Low voltage can cause erratic ABS behavior, but a spongy pedal is more mechanical. I'd suggest a workshop visit.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be corrosion on the brake calipers due to undervoltage in the vehicle. Repair cost was 240€.

Strange feedback? Is the ABS kicking in prematurely or is it more of a spongy feel? Have you checked your brake fluid level and condition? Also, when were the brake calipers last inspected?
