Hi, I have a 2010 Toyota Avensis diesel, 83k km. The start-stop isn't working. I get an error, the engine shuts off at lights, and the eco light is on. Could it be the battery?

Had similar issues with my Avensis (diesel too, but not the same year). Was your car battery heavily discharged or defective?

How did you figure that one out? Was it also impacting starting the engine?

Same thing - idle stop not working. I would take it to the workshop. In my case they told me to replace the car battery. Problem gone. But that was my case...
