Avensis System Readiness Check Incomplete
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Toyota Avensis diesel displayed an incomplete system readiness check and an error message on the speedometer after an OBD2 diagnostic. The issue was suspected to be related to the exhaust system or emissions test. A similar problem was resolved by clearing the error, which was a glitch from the OBD2 reading. The solution involved a system reset at a workshop, resolving the issue without any cost.

Yes, the check engine light is on. What was the eventual fix for your car? Was it a costly repair?

For me, it turned out to be a glitch after the OBD2 reading. The workshop cleared the error, and it hasn't come back since. I'd suggest getting it checked; could be a simple reset.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and they reset the system. The error is gone, and the readiness check is complete now. No cost involved!

I had something similar happen with my Avensis after getting the car diagnostics done. Is the check engine light on?
