Aveo Automatic Temperature Control Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Aveo with a diesel engine is experiencing issues with its automatic temperature control, randomly blasting hot or cold air and failing to switch on the AC. A diagnostic revealed an error with the interior temperature sensor, suggesting a possible faulty connection or plug. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle checked by a professional to confirm the sensor issue and address any connection problems, as attempting to fix the HVAC system independently can be challenging.

The error is persistent. And yes, it totally ignores the temperature settings. It's like the car has a mind of its own. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you end up taking it to a workshop?

I took mine to the shop. They confirmed it was the interior temperature sensor and traced it to a faulty connection. The replacement and labor cost me around 95€. It's best to get it checked properly, as messing with the HVAC system can be tricky!

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like I'm fighting a losing battle trying to fix it myself. I'll book it in with a local workshop and hopefully, they can sort it out. 95€ isn't too bad. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Aveo. Is the sensor error persistent, or does it come and go? When mine started acting up, the climate control was all over the place. Does it feel like it's ignoring the temperature settings completely?
