Aveo Brake Pedal Feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Chevrolet Aveo diesel with 137,890 km is experiencing strange feedback through the brake pedal. The brake fluid is fine, leading to a suspicion that undervoltage might be affecting the hydraulic brakes. A suggestion was made to check the electrical connections to the ABS unit, as a bad connection there could cause similar issues. The problem was confirmed to be an electrical fault causing undervoltage, which damaged the brakes, necessitating the replacement of brake discs, pads, and an ABS module check.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't thought about the ABS unit connections. What kind of issues did you have with your Astra, and how did you fix them? Was it constant, or did it come and go?

My Astra's issue was intermittent. I'd feel a pulsating in the pedal, like the ABS was kicking in at low speeds. Turned out it was a corroded connector on the ABS module. I'd get it checked at a workshop, brakes are not something to risk.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop, and you were right, it was an electrical fault causing undervoltage. The worn brakes were damaged by this. Had to replace the brake discs, pads, and get the ABS module checked. Cost me 240€, but at least the brakes are working again.

I had something similar with my old Opel Astra, petrol though. Sounds like the same symptoms. Did you check the electrical connections to the ABS unit? A bad connection there can cause weird brake pedal feedback.
