Aveo engine jerking accelerating
Summary of the thread
The 2016 Chevrolet Aveo is experiencing engine jerking during acceleration, a check engine light, and unusual sounds, possibly indicating a boost pressure sensor issue. A loose or defective cable or plug connection to the boost sensor is suggested as a potential cause. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle checked at a workshop, which confirmed the issue and resolved it by repairing the connection.

Thanks for the quick reply. No, I only did a visual check, but I didn't try to reconnect the plug. Where exactly is the boost sensor located, and is there a special trick to checking the connection?

Alright, I found out the location myself. Yep, sounds like the same thing I had. Those symptoms are spot on for a boost sensor issue. I'd really recommend just getting it checked at a workshop. The whistling could be something else in the turbocharger system, so you don't want to misdiagnose yourself.

Thanks for the help! I took your advice and had it checked. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, just like you said. Repair cost was 95€. Now everything is fine again.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Aveo, though I didn't check the mileage. The check engine light and the jerking under acceleration sound familiar. Did you happen to check the plug connection of the boost sensor? That was my problem – a loose connection.
