Aveo oxygen sensor heater error

I'm having an issue with my 2011 Chevrolet Aveo diesel. It has 174966 km. The check engine light is on, with an error about the oxygen sensor heater. I've also noticed higher fuel consumption. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Chevrolet Aveo diesel is experiencing a check engine light due to an oxygen sensor heater error, specifically related to the pre-catalytic converter sensor. This issue is also causing increased fuel consumption. The suspected causes include a faulty cable or plug. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired at a workshop.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my Aveo. Was the error code specifically pointing to the pre-cat or post-cat sensor?

Thanks. The error indicated the pre-catalytic converter oxygen sensor. Did you also experience increased fuel consumption?

Yep, pre-cat sensor, and the fuel economy took a hit. I ended up just taking it to a workshop; they sorted it out pretty quickly.

I appreciate the confirmation. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop for further diagnostics and repair. The estimated cost is 95€.
