Aveo reduced engine power chip tuning
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Chevrolet Aveo diesel with 150,000 km experienced reduced engine power, potentially linked to previous chip tuning. A diagnostic scan revealed an error, raising concerns about the ECU or turbo. The issue was confirmed to be related to the chip tuning, and remapping the ECU at a workshop resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

Thanks! I'll check the diagnostic report, but do you suspect the chip tuning, or another cause?

Without the exact error code, it's hard to say. But the chip tuning definitely complicates things. Mine turned out to be a fried ECU that had to be replaced. Based on the symptoms, I'd advise having a workshop check it out.

The issue was related to the chip tuning as suspected. Had the ECU remapped at a workshop which cost me 180€. Runs like new again!

Hey, I have an Aveo as well. Reduced engine power and error codes sounds familiar! Was the error specifically pointing to the ECU or turbo? I had a similar problem that was a real headache.
