Thanks for the info! I haven't noticed any handling differences, but the safety warning is concerning. Do you think it's safe to drive? Also, do you know if it's a complicated fix?

Well, since it impacts the ABS, I wouldn't risk driving it much. If the ABS can't kick in properly when you brake hard, you could be in trouble. In my case, the garage said the sensor itself was faulty and the defective control unit affected the sensor. They had to replace it. It's connected to the car's computer, so wheel alignment is critical. Best get it checked by a workshop to be sure. Cost me around 1000€.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I'll get it to a workshop asap. Replacing the defective control unit sounds like the right step, especially considering the safety implications.

Hey! I had something similar with my Aygo. The ABS light came on, and it turned out to be related to the lateral acceleration sensor. This sensor is part of the ABS system and measures the car's sideways acceleration. It works with the yaw rate sensor (which measures how much the car is turning) and the steering angle sensor to keep the car stable. Did you notice any difference in how the car handles, especially when cornering?
