Aygo Air Conditioning Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Toyota Aygo owner experienced an air conditioning fault, with an error message on the speedometer and a stored error in the memory. The issue was suspected to be related to the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. After consulting with others, it was suggested that the problem might be with the air conditioning control unit. A workshop confirmed this diagnosis, and the issue was resolved by replacing the faulty control unit.

Thanks for the reply. No, the temperature gauge seems normal. Could it still be the temperature sensor if the gauge is working fine?

Given the AC issue and error codes, a defective air conditioning control unit is quite plausible, even with a normal temperature gauge. The sensor may be sending incorrect data specifically to the AC system. I would recommend having a workshop run a diagnostic test to confirm before replacing any parts.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed the air conditioning control unit, as you suggested. Repair cost was 980€. All sorted now.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your Aygo's climate control system. The symptoms you describe could indicate a problem with the temperature sensor circuit. Have you noticed any unusual engine cooling behavior, like the temperature gauge acting erratically?
