Aygo audio system MOST bus fault
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Toyota Aygo diesel is experiencing a completely unresponsive audio system and navigation, with a diagnostic scan indicating a MOST bus fault. The issue may be related to data transmission or fiber optics in the audio control unit. A similar problem was resolved by replacing a faulty control unit on the MOST bus, suggesting that a workshop specializing in these systems should inspect the vehicle. Repair costs for such issues can be around 1000€.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the system is completely unresponsive – a silent void where music used to be. I did inspect the fuses, and unfortunately, they all seem to be in good order. Given your experience, was your issue also related to the MOST bus, or was it something entirely different?

Yeah, mine was completely dead, no sound, nothing. Turned out it was a faulty control unit on the MOST bus. A real pain. If the fuses are good, it's likely the same thing. I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop that knows their way around these systems. It ended up costing me about 1000€ to repair.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like I'm facing the same situation. I'll book an appointment with a workshop to check the control units on the MOST bus, and prepare for a similar repair cost of around 1000€. Your input has been invaluable.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Aygo's audio system a while back. Though, I didn't get any error codes myself. Was everything just dead, like no sound at all? Did you check the fuses related to the audio and navigation systems? Sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked.
