Thanks for the tip! So, are you talking about the hoses connected to the air valve near the throttle body? And, would a simple visual inspection be enough to spot the issue, or do I need to do something more thorough?

Yes, exactly. The ones connected to the air valve. A visual inspection might catch something obvious, but sometimes the cracks are small and hard to see. Try wiggling the hoses and listen for any hissing sounds, that could indicate a leak. But honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. It could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on! It was indeed a defective hose connection to the air valve. Cost me 175€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. Same check engine light. Turned out to be a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. I'd check your vacuum hoses and air valve for any cracks or loose connections. Is the engine idling rough or anything like that?
