Aygo cruise control failure

Hey, my 2005 Toyota Aygo diesel's cruise control just died. Speedometer shows an error, cruise is totally non-functional, and the error memory's got something stored. I'm guessing a defective cable or plug connection, anyone else seen this? I've checked the fuse box, seems okay. Could it be something with the throttle body or steering wheel controls?

Greetings. I see you are experiencing a cruise control malfunction with your Toyota Aygo. Curiously, I encountered a similar anomaly not too long ago. Is the error message persistent, or does it appear intermittently? Have you attempted a diagnostic scan to ascertain the precise error code?

Yeah, the error message is always there now. I did a scan; it points to something vague about the cruise control actuator. Did yours throw the same code? And what eventually sorted it out for you?

Indeed, the symptoms you describe align precisely with my prior experience. Given the diagnostic information implicating the cruise control actuator, I would suggest consulting with a qualified automotive technician for further evaluation. A thorough inspection of the actuator, its associated wiring harness, and the relevant control module may be necessary to definitively ascertain the root cause.

Thanks for the input! Took it to the shop, and you were right - it was a dodgy connection to the actuator, just as suspected. Cost me 95€ to sort. Annoying, but at least it's fixed!
