Aygo electrical malfunction transport mode

My 2007 Toyota Aygo diesel is showing bizarre behavior. Navigation is dead, and I'm getting a general electrical malfunction error at 139115 km. I suspect it's stuck in some kind of transport mode. Has anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Toyota Aygo diesel is experiencing electrical malfunctions, including a dead navigation system and a general electrical error, possibly due to being stuck in transport mode. The issue may be related to a software problem similar to an immobilizer issue experienced by another vehicle, which required a dealer's diagnostic tool for resolution. The suggested solution is to take the car to a Toyota workshop for a proper diagnostic check, as it might involve a software refresh.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane. Random electrical glitches, radio cutting out, the works. I also suspected some kind of 'new car' mode. Did you recently replace the key fob battery or have any work done on the car's electronics?

That's interesting! No, I haven't touched the key fob or done any recent work. I ran a diagnostic scan, but it didn't throw up any helpful codes, mainly just communication errors. Any specific issues or solutions you found with your Megane?

For me it ended up being a weird immobilizer issue that triggered the transport mode, which messed up all the other electronics. The root cause on the Megane was a corrupted software that only a specific Renault Clip tool was able to detect and solve, but needed a software refresh from the dealer. My opinion? If that software is corrupted, the car is as new. You'll waste more time trying to fix that, I'd seriously consider taking it to a shop with the proper diagnostic tools.

Okay, thanks a lot for the insight! Sounds like I'm chasing a ghost then. A proper diagnostic check at a Toyota workshop makes the most sense. Knowing that it could be software related is really helpful.
