Aygo Tire Pressure Warning Light Issue

Hi, I've got a 2012 Toyota Aygo with a gasoline engine and about 55k km. Recently, the tire pressure warning light has been bugging me. I'm getting a 'tire pressure too low' message on the speedometer, and the error is also stored in the error memory. I've checked the tire inflation with a pressure gauge multiple times, and they're all fine. Any ideas before I start swapping sensors?

Hey there! I had something similar happen on my Aygo. Have you considered the tire pressure sensor itself? It might be a simple fix. Think of it like a smoke detector when the battery is empty.

Interesting thought! You mean the sensor battery could be the issue? Did you experience the same symptoms - correct tire inflation but still getting the error message and low tire warning?

Exactly! Same symptoms here. Correct pressure but the warnings persisted. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the sensor battery. It’s like trying to use your phone on 1% battery. Time for a replacement!

Thanks a bunch! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. I suspected it might be the sensors. The bill came in at 280€, new sensor installed. Appreciate the help!
