Thanks for the quick reply When you say you had a similar problem, was it the exact same symptoms Error message, brake light failure, and the diagnostic tool pointing directly to the brake switch And did you end up replacing the switch, or was it something else Also, did you replace it yourself or go to a workshop

Yep, exact same symptoms The error message was persistent and annoying, and the brake lights were completely dead I initially tried cleaning the contacts on the existing switch, hoping it was just some dirt or corrosion, but that didn't fix it Ended up taking it to a workshop They confirmed it was the brake switch and replaced it I didn't want to mess with the brake system myself For a simple automotive switch, it caused a fair bit of drama I suggest going to the workshop

Appreciate the help I took your advice and went to the workshop They ran a diagnostic, and turns out, I was causing the error myself The floor mat was interfering with the pedal travel and the system registered it as a faulty switch They removed the floor mat and reset the error memory, the repair cost was 0€ Thanks again for sharing your experience

Strange I had a similar problem with my B Klasse The brake lights were acting up, and the dash was lit up with warnings It turned out to be the brake switch Have you tried simply resetting the error codes after checking the switch Maybe it's just a glitch in the system It might also be worth checking the connection to the brake light units themselves I've heard of those connections corroding and causing weird electrical issues in the brake system I hope it's not too serious
