B Klasse Hybrid Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid displayed an airbag warning light, indicating a potential issue with the SRS system. A quick scan suggested a defective cable or plug connection as the cause. It was advised to check for any airbag recalls and inspect the crash sensor connections for damage. Ultimately, a workshop visit revealed a loose connection, which was fixed, resolving the issue.

Airbag recall, good question. Where would I even check for one? Should I look for obvious damage myself or just take it in?

Checking for recalls can often be accomplished via the manufacturer's website using your VIN. While a visual inspection for obvious damage is reasonable, I recommend a qualified workshop perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of the SRS. Is risking the integrity of the restraint system truly worth the gamble?

Thanks, that's what I figured. Took it to the workshop; they found a loose connection as suggested. 95€ later, and all is well. Appreciate the advice.

A defective cable or plug connection within the restraint system certainly warrants investigation, especially given its impact on vehicle safety. Has the vehicle been subject to an airbag recall previously? Have you checked the relevant crash sensor connections for corrosion or damage?
