B Klasse Hybrid System Readiness Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid displayed a 'System readiness check incomplete' error, suspected to be linked to a recent OBD2 diagnostic session. The issue might stem from the system readiness monitors being reset during the diagnostics. A drive cycle, which involves specific driving patterns to allow the system to complete its checks, was suggested as a solution. Ultimately, clearing the error memory at a local shop resolved the issue, as the system readiness completed itself after the reset.

The error has been present for about a week now I've driven maybe 200 km since it appeared I tried to find a specific drive cycle for my B Klasse, but no luck so far Do you know if there are any specific conditions that need to be met, like a minimum speed or a certain type of road, for the system readiness to complete?

200km should have been enough Some readiness tests need things like highway driving at a steady speed, city driving with multiple stops, and even idling for a certain period Since you cannot find the specific steps, I would suggest taking it to a workshop The error memory might store more details about which system readiness tests are not completed They can read this out with car diagnostics

I cleared the error memory at a local shop Apparently, the system readiness completed itself after the error was cleared The technician mentioned that the system readiness check sometimes gets stuck after an OBD2 readout and requires a reset to complete Repair cost was 0€!

I've seen similar things after using an OBD2 scanner The system readiness monitors sometimes get reset A drive cycle is usually the way to go Basically, it involves driving the car in specific ways to allow the system to run all its diagnostic checks The exact procedure varies by manufacturer and model You might be able to find the specific Mercedes drive cycle online Otherwise, the car will eventually complete the checks on its own after a certain amount of driving How long has the error been present? Maybe it will disappear soon
