Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the fuel pump or pressure sensor yet. Where exactly is the fuel pressure regulator located on the fuel rail? Also, what kind of engine misfire codes should I be looking for?

Given the potential complications and your unfamiliarity with the fuel rail components, I would advise against attempting to diagnose the fuel pressure regulator yourself. It may be beneficial to seek a professional's opinion. A workshop should be able to confirm the defect.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was a defective fuel pressure regulator. Repair including parts and labor ended up costing 45€. Runs like new!

I also own a Barchetta, though I'm unsure of the exact year. Your symptoms sound quite familiar. A faulty fuel pressure regulator can indeed cause those issues, especially after messing with the fuel system. Have you checked the fuel pump and pressure sensor? Any engine misfire codes?
