Barchetta passenger seat unresponsive
Summary of the thread
The passenger electric seat in a 2004 Fiat Barchetta is unresponsive, with an error code indicating a power supply issue. Initial checks of fuses and connections showed no problems, leading to speculation about a possible battery issue. Despite considering a DIY fix, it was advised to seek professional diagnosis due to the generic nature of the error. Ultimately, a workshop identified the problem as a faulty control module.

Thanks for the quick response! The error code doesn't specify the motor or module directly; it's a generic code related to power supply issues on the passenger seat. I’m wondering if it’s worth trying to replace the seat motor before taking it in.

Given that the error is power-related and doesn't point to a specific component, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for proper diagnosis. It could be a wiring fault or a deeper electrical issue that's hard to trace without the right tools. I ended up doing that, and it saved me a lot of time and potential further damage.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I'll book it in with a workshop to have it looked at. They diagnosed it as a faulty control module, and the repair cost me 290€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I also have a Barchetta and faced a similar issue some time ago. Does the error message mention anything specific about the seat motor or the control module?
