Berlingo Boost Pressure Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Citroen Berlingo diesel is experiencing issues with power loss, slow throttle response, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and a high-pitched whistling noise, accompanied by error codes related to boost pressure. The MAP sensor has been checked and found to be fine, leading to suspicions of a turbo-related problem, possibly involving the wastegate valve. A suggestion was made to inspect the boost pipes for cracks or leaks, as a split hose could cause pressure loss, and a visit to a mechanic is recommended for further diagnosis and repair.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I gave the hoses a once-over, but I'll double-check them for splits. Whereabouts were the leaks on yours? Was it a specific pipe that's prone to going bad? Also, did your engine actually stall, or was it just down on power? Any idea what the eventual damage was?

The leak was difficult to find, even after a careful inspection. My Berlingo didn't stall completely, but it felt gutless, especially uphill. Honestly, I'd take it to a trusted mechanic. It sounds like a proper boost leak, possibly the wastegate valve which can be expensive! Ultimately mine was around 860€ including labor, new valve, and testing!

Thanks for the info! I feared as much... Sounds like I'm off to the mechanic. I appreciate the confirmation – at least I know I'm not chasing ghosts. Wish me luck and a light repair bill!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Berlingo (don't remember the year right now). Reduced power and weird noises. Have you checked for any obvious cracks or leaks in the boost pipes? It could be a split hose causing the system to lose pressure – like trying to blow up a balloon with a hole in it!
