Berlingo cruise control failure

The brake lights seem to be working fine. Are you suggesting that the issue might actually be with the accelerator pedal rather than the brake pedal? How could that prevent the cruise control from activating? Also, is it difficult to check the cable or plug connection myself?

It's hard to say for sure without proper diagnostics, but a faulty throttle position sensor or its wiring can definitely prevent cruise control from engaging. As for checking the connection, it depends on your comfort level. If you're not experienced with car electrics, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose the issue quickly and accurately.

I took the Berlingo to the workshop, and you were spot on! It was, in fact, a defective cable connection on one of the sensors. The repair cost me 95€ and everything works fine now. I appreciate your help!

It sounds like a faulty pedal switch or maybe a problem with the throttle position sensor. When the cruise control stopped working, did you notice anything unusual with the brake lights? These things are often linked. You should check the corresponding cable or plug connection.
