Berlingo Diesel Mixture Preparation Error

My 2004 Citroen Berlingo diesel is showing signs of a mixture preparation error. Engine power is down, the check engine light is on, and it runs roughly, jerking during acceleration and sometimes stalling at idle. It has 205063 km on the odometer. Diagnostics suggest a possible issue with the injection valve or injector. I've considered a bad catalytic converter, MAF sensor, or air-fuel ratio issues, also the intake manifold and throttle body. Has anyone else had similar issues with their Berlingo?

I have a Berlingo, and your symptoms sound familiar. I experienced something similar a while back. Did you notice any changes in fuel consumption?

I haven't closely monitored fuel consumption, but it seems the vehicle is using fuel faster. Could you share the specifics of the issue you had and how it was resolved?

My symptoms were almost identical. Given the potential complexity, and the need for specialized equipment, I'd recommend a visit to a workshop. They can perform tests to pinpoint the cause and fix it.

Following your recommendation, I took the vehicle to a mechanic. They confirmed a defective fuel injector and replaced it. The total cost was 515€. The vehicle now runs smoothly, and all the symptoms are gone. Thanks for the guidance.
