Berlingo exhaust temperature sensor issue

Berlingo eh? I had something similar happen with mine. Reduced power and the check engine light were the first things I noticed. Is the fuel consumption really that much worse?

Yeah, the fuel consumption is definitely up. I'm filling up way more often. Was it definitely the exhaust temperature sensor for you too? How did you figure it out?

I didn't figure it out myself, took it straight to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and said it was the exhaust temperature sensor. If you're seeing the same symptoms, I'd say get it checked out professionally. Better safe than sorry, right?

Thanks for the advice! It ended up being exactly what I suspected. Took it to a mechanic, and they confirmed it was the exhaust temperature sensor, likely caused by a small exhaust leak like I thought. Replaced the sensor and fixed the leak – cost me around 265€, but now it's running like new again! Appreciate the input!
