Bipper Defrost Air Distribution Fault
Summary of the thread
The 2009 Peugeot Bipper is experiencing issues with the defrost air distribution flap, resulting in low heating output and an error code. Possible causes include a faulty cable or plug connection, particularly behind the dashboard panel where ventilation controls are located. Suggested solutions involve checking and cleaning the connectors with contact cleaner, but due to the complexity, it may be best to have a workshop handle the repair.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'behind the dashboard panel', do you mean taking the whole dash apart, or is there a sneaky access panel somewhere? And were your symptoms the same – weak heat and a foggy windshield?

No need to dismantle the whole dash, thankfully! On mine, there was a small access panel near the climate control. Symptoms were exactly as you describe: weak heat, error code and constant windshield fogging. I'd check that connection, give it a clean with contact cleaner, but honestly, at this point, it's probably best to book it in at a workshop. It's a fiddly job.

Cheers! Sounds like a plan. I was hoping it was a quick fix, but I'll get it booked in. Workshop quoted 95€, which seems fair enough, especially if it saves me hours of messing about. I'll post once it's sorted.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my Bipper – can't remember the year. Check the connection behind the dashboard panel, where the ventilation system controls are. Those connectors can come loose or corrode, messing with the HVAC unit. Also, check the easy stuff first, like the fuses.
