Thanks for your response. Indeed, the fuel consumption has gone up noticeably. Which sensors did you check specifically? And did the diagnostics also point to the fuel volume regulator in your case?

Yes, the diagnostic pointed to the fuel volume regulator, and it ended up being the high-pressure fuel pump. To be honest, I didn't check the sensors myself, my mechanic did, because the car was nearly undriveable. Given your symptoms and the diagnostics, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and, unfortunately, probably repaired or replaced. Fuel efficiency will suffer even more, if you delay.

Thank you for confirming! I was hoping it was something simpler, but it seems I'm facing a similar situation. Took it to my workshop as you advised, and the high-pressure pump is indeed defective and needs to be replaced. The estimate is 1510€. This is painful. I will post the outcome once the work is completed. Thanks again for your help!

I had similar symptoms with my Bipper, though I didn't run diagnostics myself. Check engine light, stalling, power loss... Sounds like the fuel system alright. Has the car been consuming more fuel than usual? Check the car sensors - any abnormalities? It could be related.
