I didn't touch it myself, to be honest. Electrics are not my thing. I'd recommend a workshop; these sensors can be tricky, and you don't want to mess up the fuel injection. My mechanic did it in an hour, so hopefully it's the same for you.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Peugeot Partner. Check engine light was on all the time, and it was idling rough. Is it the fuel rail pressure sensor? Because that's what it was on my van. Same symptoms.
