Bipper rain light sensor fault

I'm having an issue with my 2012 Peugeot Bipper, gasoline engine. The rain-light sensor seems completely borked! I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and it's like the car thinks it's perpetually sunny. No automatic wiping in the rain, which is a pain, and the headlights just switch on whenever they feel like it. Plus, the speedometer dimming isn't working. Anyone else had this kind of sensor fault?

Yes, all the same symptoms. I recommend you take it to the workshop for detailed diagnosis. Probably they will need to replace the rain-light sensor.

Thanks! I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. Apparently, bubbles had formed under the gel pad of the windshield, messing with the sensor. New sensor and fitting came to 62€. All sorted now!
