I used a professional car diagnostic tool. It pointed towards a potential issue related to the ECU mapping. What was the cause in your case, and what was the diagnostic code shown?

I didn't catch the exact code, sorry. My local garage mentioned something about corrupted data after a software installation, but it might be a different problem than yours, since your car had third party chip tuning, which can have unpredictable results. Based on my experience, you're better off having it checked professionally to prevent further damage. I hate to say it, but that dashboard light is never a good sign.

Thanks for the insights! Took it to a workshop specializing in car computer issues. They confirmed the faulty chip tuning and re-flashed the ECU. Cost me 180€, but the Bipper is running smoothly again.

That sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms on my old Opel Astra. The check engine light was on, and the car felt sluggish. Did you try reading the diagnostic code yourself, or did a shop do it?
