Bipper rough cold start

My 2016 Peugeot Bipper with a gasoline engine is starting poorly, especially when cold. The engine runs really rough in the initial cold start phase, almost like it's misfiring. Could this be a fuel system issue, maybe a faulty cold start injector? I've checked the spark plugs and they seem fine, so I'm leaning towards a fuel delivery issue. Any ideas?

I've got a Bipper too and had similar symptoms a while back. Hard starting and rough running when cold sounds very familiar. For me, it ended up being a defective injector valve. It was causing a misfire because the fuel wasn't being atomized properly when the engine was cold.

That's really helpful! Do you remember which injector it was or how you diagnosed it? Was it easy to access the fuel rail and check the injectors? I'm trying to avoid going straight to a mechanic if possible.

I didn't diagnose it myself, to be honest. I took it to a workshop. They did a fuel system check and confirmed the injector was faulty. If you're not comfortable doing that sort of work yourself, I'd recommend getting it checked out professionally. The repair cost me around 515€, but at least it fixed the problem.

I appreciate the advice. I think I'll book it in with a local garage to get the fuel system checked out. Sounds like it's beyond my capabilities. Hopefully, it's just the injector and not something more serious!
