Hi all, I have a 2007 Opel Combo with 157,000 km and I am experiencing some problems. When accelerating, a lot of black smoke comes out of the exhaust and also the car shuts itself off.Does anyone know what this could be due to or how to fix it? I would appreciate any advice or similar experience. thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Opel Combo is experiencing issues with black smoke from the exhaust and unexpected shutdowns. Check the air filter first to ensure it's not clogged, as this can cause black smoke and affect engine performance. If the filter is dirty, replace it and see if the problem persists. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!

filter is clean and new

Inspect the fuel injectors for any signs of clogging or malfunction, as they can cause black smoke and engine shutdown if not working properly. Consider using a fuel injector cleaner to see if it improves the situation. Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions!
