Blazer Automatic Transmission Issues

My 2021 Chevrolet Blazer with a gasoline engine has 211878 kilometers and is showing signs of automatic transmission issues. The check engine and transmission lights are on. The transmission slips, shifts roughly, and sometimes grinds when changing gears. There's also an error code stored. I suspect a problem with the torque converter lock-up clutch. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like a torque converter. Does the engine RPM surge erratically, especially when trying to hold a steady speed on the highway? Have you seen any changes in fuel economy lately?

Yes, I've noticed erratic engine RPM surges, especially at higher speeds. And I have seen a slight drop in fuel economy, though I didn't think much of it at first. Does that change your diagnosis?

That engine surging and lower fuel economy really points to a bad torque converter. With symptoms this bad, get it professionally diagnosed and repaired at a good shop. Driving it like this could cause more damage.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I'll get it inspected and repaired at a trusted shop. The estimated repair cost is 2120€.
