Thanks for the quick response. I'll get the exact error code from the diagnostic report. Can you tell me the best way to inspect the wiring and connections, especially for corrosion or damage? Are there specific tools or procedures you recommend?

Okay, so the oil level sensor sends an electrical signal to the car's computer. Corrosion can disrupt this signal. For checking the wiring, look for any frayed or cracked insulation. Use a multimeter to check for continuity in the wires. If you're not comfortable doing electrical testing, it might be best to take it to a trusted mechanic, before doing more damage.

Thanks for the guidance. I decided to get help from a certified mechanic. The diagnosis confirmed the defective cable connection, like I thought. The repair was replacing the wiring, for a total of 95€. The vehicle is now working as it should. Thanks.

Sounds like a faulty oil level sensor or a wiring issue, which is pretty common. When the oil level sensor goes bad, it can trigger all sorts of warning lights. The sensor itself monitors the oil level. A bad signal can cause erratic readings and trigger the warning lights. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the sensor for any obvious damage or corrosion? Also, what specific error code are you getting?
