BMAX Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Ford BMAX with a gasoline engine is experiencing poor starts, reduced engine power, and rough idling, likely due to a defective camshaft sensor. The issue may be caused by a faulty sensor or a problematic cable or plug. The recommended solution is to have the sensor checked and potentially replaced at a workshop, which resolved the problem for another owner with similar symptoms.

Yeah, rough idling too. What was the fix?

Turns out it was indeed a faulty sensor. Best get it checked at a workshop. In my case the sensor replacement plus diagnostics was around 95€.

Thanks for the confirmation. I got it sorted at the workshop. Camshaft sensor was indeed the culprit and the repair cost was exactly what you mentioned. Cheers!

I had similar symptoms with my BMAX. Check engine light came on too. Was it rough idling as well?
