BMAX Fog Sensor Faulty Connection

My 2013 Ford BMAX diesel is playing up. Done 174545 km. The fog sensor is throwing an error, air con won't kick in, spray nozzles are frozen when it's cold, and the mirror heating is MIA. Thinking it's an electrical issue, maybe a dodgy cable or plug connection to the sensor itself. Anyone else had this?

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same symptoms in my BMAX. Is your windscreen visibility also impacted? Makes driving a pain, especially with the frozen spray nozzles!

Windscreen visibility? Hmm, not sure it's directly impacted, but with the spray nozzles useless, yeah, it's a pain! What was the fix for yours? Was it a major job or just a simple swap?

Turns out it was a faulty connection, just like you suspected. I couldn't fix it myself. I took it to a workshop and they charged me for a new sensor plug and the working time.

Cheers for the advice! Took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – corroded plug connection to the fog sensor. They cleaned it up, replaced the plug, and now everything's working again. Cost me 95€, so not too bad. Thanks again for the help!
