BMAX Gearbox Slipping

I'm having major issues with my 2012 Ford BMAX (gasoline engine). Only done 22007 km! The gears are going crazy! The paddle shifters don't work, and the gearbox is slipping all over the place, shifts are really unclean. There's this awful grinding noise sometimes when it changes gears. The paddle shifters barely respond, and now the gearbox is stuck in emergency mode. I got an error code read and it says something about the transmission control unit. Anyone else had this happen?

Whoa, sounds rough! I have a BMAX too, and while I haven't had exactly the same issues, the gearbox was definitely acting weird a while back. Slow paddle response, slippage... Could be the control module. How many kilometers on yours?

Yeah, it's a nightmare! So, control module, huh? What exactly was happening with yours, and how did you figure it out?

Okay, so mine wasn't quite as bad as yours sounds, but the shifting was jerky and sometimes it felt like it was hunting for the right gear. Paddle shifters were super laggy. Eventually, it threw an error code related to the transmission. After some research, a lot of people pointed towards the control unit being faulty. I took it to a workshop. It cost about 1000€, but they confirmed the control unit was the issue. Sounds like you should take yours to a workshop.

Thanks a bunch for the info! I'll definitely take it to a local mechanic. Really appreciate the help!
