BMAX Low Brake Fluid
Summary of the thread
The owner of a 2017 Ford BMAX noticed low brake fluid and unusual brake pedal feedback, suspecting worn brakes. Another participant suggested that air might be entering the system, possibly due to leaks around the calipers, brake lines, or master cylinder, or due to worn brake pads. After checking for visible leaks and finding none, the owner took the car to a workshop, where it was confirmed that worn brakes were indeed the issue, and the problem was resolved.

No visible leaks, and the pads look okay-ish, but I haven't measured them. If air's getting in, would that always mean a leak somewhere, or could it be something else entirely?

While it's good you're not seeing any obvious leaks, air getting in almost always points to a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system, even a tiny one, or a failing master cylinder. If you're not confident in diagnosing it further yourself, best get it to a shop. Brakes are definitely not something to gamble with.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a workshop; you were right. Worn brakes were causing the issue, and they sorted everything out. Cost me 480€ for parts and labor.

Low brake fluid and weird pedal feel? Sounds like air might be getting into the system somewhere. Have you checked for any visible leaks around the calipers, brake lines, or master cylinder? That's usually the first place to look. Or maybe your brake pads are just super worn down.
