BMAX solar sensor fault

Cable and plug, huh? I haven't gotten around to physically inspecting it yet, honestly. The scan tool just points to a general solar sensor fault. No specific codes beyond that. With your Opel, was it definitely the sensor itself, or something else in the system causing the problem? Was the error also stored in the memory?

Yes, the error was stored in the error memory, and the heating output was also too low. The cable or plug connection of the component was defective. At first, I thought it was the sensor itself, but after some digging, the mechanic pointed out that the connections were corroded. That's why I recommend you to take it to the workshop. Is the heating permanently too low?

Appreciate the insight! Looks like I'll take it to the workshop. They said it’s most likely a defective cable or plug connection and quoted around 95€ for the repair. Hopefully, that's all it is. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Hmm, solar sensor... sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel, although it manifested differently. The error was stored in the error memory, and the heating output was also too low. Did you check the cable or plug connection of the component? Could be a simple fix, but then again, could be something more complicated. What scan tool are you using? Does it give you any specific codes related to the sensor?
