BMW 1 Convertible Top and Comfort Close Issues

I own a 2009 BMW 1 with a Diesel engine and 80000 km on it. I'm experiencing issues with the convertible top—it cannot be opened or closed. Additionally, I'm curious if it's possible to have the roof operate with a single press rather than holding the button. The comfort close feature also doesn't seem to work on my E88. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Summary of the thread

A 2009 BMW 1 Convertible is experiencing issues with the convertible top not opening or closing and the comfort close feature not functioning. Possible causes include a blown fuse or low hydraulic fluid level for the convertible top mechanism. Solutions suggested include checking and replacing the fuse, inspecting and refilling the hydraulic fluid, and considering a software update or coding change for one-touch operation of the roof.

Check the fuse related to the convertible top mechanism first, as a blown fuse can prevent it from operating. If the fuse is fine, inspect the hydraulic fluid level for the convertible top, as low fluid can also cause issues. For the one-touch operation, you might need a software update or a coding change, which can be done by a professional. Let me know if you need further assistance!
