Thanks for sharing your experience! Mine's similar but slightly different. Just had my service at 74778 KM, and still having these Bluetooth problems. I'm using the latest iPhone, fully updated, and already tried the basic troubleshooting (reset phone, cleared car's memory, etc.). What's weird is that it worked perfectly fine until about two weeks ago. The error messages are unusual, sometimes it connects for a few minutes before dropping, other times it won't connect at all. Really annoying during calls! Would be great to know if your mechanic had to update any specific software or if it was just a simple module reset. My regular mechanic seems a bit stumped by this one.

Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Since I worked on similar issues with my 2015 BMW 2 Series, I can share a bit more detail about what happened in my case, since it sounds pretty similar to what you're experiencing. When I had those unusual disconnects and error messages, my mechanic actually found that it wasn't just a simple module reset that fixed it. Initially, they tried that, but the problem came back after a few days. The real issue turned out to be a faulty control unit for the Bluetooth system. These units can start acting up even if everything worked fine before. What's interesting is that my problems also started out of nowhere, working perfectly one day, then going crazy the next. The timing after your service makes me wonder if something got knocked loose or if there was some interference during the maintenance. In my case, they ended up replacing the control unit completely, and I haven't had any issues since then. It wasn't cheap (around 300 Euro plus labor), but it was worth it to have everything working properly again. Have you noticed if the problem gets worse when your phone battery is low? That was another quirk I experienced before the fix. Also, does your car show any other electrical oddities, like unusual warning lights or issues with the infotainment system? These might help pinpoint if it's isolated to just the Bluetooth or part of a bigger electrical issue.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! That's actually super helpful, especially the part about the control unit. I just checked and yes, the problems do seem worse when my phone battery is getting low, never made that connection before! And now that you mention it, I've noticed my infotainment screen occasionally freezes for a few seconds, which started around the same time as the Bluetooth issues. I'll definitely get my mechanic to check the control unit. It's a bit pricey, but honestly, at this point, I'm willing to pay to get it sorted properly. The constant disconnections during important calls are driving me crazy! Really appreciate you sharing your experience, gives me a much clearer direction to pursue. Will probably book it in next week and hopefully get this sorted once and for all. If it turns out to be something different, I'll make sure to post an update here in case anyone else runs into similar problems!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2015 BMW 2 Series (and previously owned a 3 Series). I've got some experience working with cars, mostly basic maintenance and electronics. My Bluetooth was acting just like yours, super frustrating! After trying all the usual stuff like resetting my phone and the car's system, I took it to my regular workshop. Turned out the Bluetooth module needed to be re-paired and reconfigured. The tech told me it's actually a pretty common issue with these models. Quick fix, took about an hour and cost me 45 Euro. Could you share what phone you're using and if you've done any recent updates to either your phone or car's software? This info would help figure out if we're dealing with the same problem. Also, have you noticed any other electrical quirks?
