Hello, I own a BMW 3, model year 2009, with a diesel engine and 214,000 km mileage. I have a problem with reduced engine power. My 330d has special software installed, and now it barely accelerates. When it does accelerate, it smokes black like a steam locomotive. No engine light is displayed, but there are messages about too low airflow and a throttle actuator error. Could it be that due to too rich fuel injection the diesel particulate filter (DPF) is clogged and thus affecting performance? Is the throttle valve therefore malfunctioning? I appreciate advice and experiences.

Start by checking the air filter and intake system for any blockages or leaks, as these can affect airflow and cause the issues you're experiencing. If the air filter is dirty, replace it and see if that improves the situation. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
