BMW 5 Diesel Engine Issues: Unsteady Idle and Knocking Noise

Hello everyone, I own a 2011 BMW 5 with a Diesel engine and 300,000 km on it. I've been experiencing some issues with my car: the engine is unsteady, there's a clicking/knocking noise, and it shakes while idling. My Carly diagnostic tool showed me the error fault code: 2A6B00 smooth regulator cylinder 6. The problem is that the engine has a bad idle and knocks when I start it cold, but it returns to normal after warming up. Can anyone explain what this fault code means and suggest any solutions? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

The fault code 2A6B00 indicates an issue with the smooth running control of cylinder 6, which could be related to the fuel injector, spark plug, or ignition coil. Start by checking the fuel injector for cylinder 6 to ensure it's not clogged or malfunctioning. You can also inspect the spark plug and ignition coil for any signs of wear or damage. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, it's best to have a professional mechanic take a look, as this could affect engine performance and safety. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
