BMW 8 ABS Warning & Steering Problems Need Solutions

Thanks for sharing that experience! My car currently has 43790 KM and just got serviced last month. These issues started about a week ago, and yes, all the symptoms appeared pretty much at the same time. I didn't notice any pressure changes before the warnings started, but now that you mention the tire valve sensor, it makes a lot of sense. The steering seems worst when I'm turning at low speeds, like in parking lots. I've been putting off taking it to the workshop hoping it might be something simple, but after hearing about your similar experience, I should probably get it checked out sooner rather than later. Did your workshop complete the repair in one day? Just trying to plan ahead since I need the car for work.

Hey again! Thanks for those details. Yeah, your situation sounds exactly like what I went through with my BMW. The low-speed steering trouble is particularly familiar, that's exactly how mine behaved too, especially in tight spots like parking lots. Given that you just had a service last month, it's probably not related to routine maintenance issues. In my case, the repair was pretty quick, dropped it off in the morning and got it back by late afternoon. The workshop said these sensor issues are actually quite common in our BMWs. Just a heads up though, after my experience, I learned it's best not to drive too long with these warnings. While my issue turned out to be just the valve sensor, these symptoms could potentially indicate other problems if left unchecked. The ABS and power steering are pretty crucial safety features, you know? Since you need your car for work, I'd suggest calling the workshop first thing tomorrow. They might even be able to do a quick diagnostic check to confirm if it's the same sensor issue. If it is, it's a relatively straightforward fix, just like mine was. Let me know how it goes, curious to hear if it turns out to be the same problem!

Thanks so much for all the detailed advice! You've definitely convinced me to stop procrastinating on this. I just called the workshop and managed to get an appointment for tomorrow morning. They seemed to think it could be the sensor too, based on the symptoms I described. Really appreciate you sharing your experience, it's put my mind at ease knowing it might not be something major. And great to hear it could potentially be fixed in a day. Just hoping my repair bill stays around the same range as yours! Will probably get them to check all the sensors while they're at it, just to be on the safe side. Thanks again for taking the time to help out. It's always better getting advice from someone who's actually dealt with the same issue. Will let you know what they find when I take it in!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars (not too much, but enough to understand the basics). Actually, I had a really similar issue with my 2018 BMW 7 Series last year. The symptoms were almost identical, ABS light, steering issues, and that annoying tire pressure warning. Turned out the faulty tire valve sensor was causing a chain reaction of warnings. Had to take it to my workshop, where they diagnosed and fixed the valve, cost me around 280 Euro, but it solved all those issues at once. Everything went back to normal after that. Before you head to the workshop, could you share: How long has this been happening? Did you notice any unusual tire pressure changes before the warnings started? Are all these symptoms happening at the same time? This info would help me better understand if you're dealing with the same problem I had.
