BMW E90 320D Power Loss Issue at High Revs
Summary of the thread
A 2008 BMW E90 320D is experiencing power loss at high RPMs, similar to limp mode, without any fault codes. Despite replacing several components, including the fuel system and turbo, the issue persists. Suggestions include checking the EGR valve, fuel pressure regulator, throttle position sensor, catalytic converter, crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, intake manifold, vacuum lines, and turbo actuator for faults or blockages. Ensuring proper operation of these components and checking for any wiring or connection issues are recommended steps to resolve the problem.

Check the turbocharger and its related components, such as the boost pressure sensor and vacuum lines. A malfunctioning turbo or a leak in the vacuum lines can cause power loss at higher RPMs. Ensure there are no blockages or leaks in the intercooler and piping as well. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions!
Thanks for the quick reply Turbo has been changed Boost pressure sensor has been changed Smoke test to check for leaks has been done with no leaks

Inspect the EGR valve for any blockages or malfunctions, as it can cause power loss if it's stuck open or not functioning properly. If the EGR valve is dirty or clogged, cleaning it might resolve the issue. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions!

Inspect the throttle position sensor (TPS) for any faults or misalignment, as it can affect engine performance and cause power loss. Ensure it's calibrated correctly and functioning as expected. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance!
